Smile use mysql in wrox blog

Hi Imar,
In wrox blog you have mentioned MsSql and MsAccess database. But I want to use mysql database.
Kindly tell me what connection string would be in web.config and what would be the code in code behind?

Hi there,

Check out www.connectionstrings.com for examples on connection strings for MySql. Not sure what it would take to make it work with MySql as I hardly use it.

Thanks for reply, ok putting mysql at side, would ms access and ms sql be compatible regarding data types as ms access may not support some data types which ms sql uses.

Some types are, and some types aren't compatible. As you can see in the Blog app, it can work as long as you work with types suppoted by both.
