Default VWD 2.0 Express compatible

After reading some of the glaring customer reviews of this book at Amazon.com, I am tempted to order it.

Question: I am learning ASP 2.0 with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express. Is this project compatible with VWD Express? At the moment, I do not want to invest in Visual Studio 2005.

TIA, Mark

I've been told it's compatible, but I didn't try it myself. I suggest that you D/L the code first and see if you can compile it. If so, buy the book!

There's a known error you get when you open the solution if you don't have the Web Deployment Project support added to your copy of VS. This can safely be ignored, or you can D/L this from MSDN. In any case, you don't need it unless you want to use it for deployment.

I downloaded the code into VWD Express. It seems to be working! You got another buyer.

Hello,

I also have a nice suggestion here.

In case if you would like to see the code with more breathing space and make some changes in CSS, giving it a unique touch than i have a good suggestion here.

I suggest you to download Microsoft Expression Web Designer and view all the codes for This book. You will feel more comfortable to work with asp.net here.

It is available free as download ( CTP VERSION ) and without any problems ( harmless for other softwares side by ) and working fully till february 2nd 2007.

If you like Dreamweaver, then you will fall in love with this very easily. This is a great IDE I have seen so far. It caters almost like VWD, VS2005 and Dreamweaver all in one.

Thanks
