Default Visual Studio 2008 .NET3.5

Does the project work 100% in VS2008 and .NET 3.5?
Or will I have to make some changes? I bought the book and I am working through it, it a GREAT project and the best book ever!

Okay I must be doing something very wrong at the moment then!
I get this error
It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

Here is what I did I extracted the file to the Inetpub wwwroot folder I set it up as a application in a virtual directory.
I am using Visual Studio 2008 and SQL 2008
I followed all the instructions for the set-up for the DB as per the read me file.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Are you sure the directory is set up as an IIS application? And is it configured for the proper framework in IIS under the ASP.NET properties?

Hi
I came right (still not running through IIS though) I first opened it in VS2005 and then opened it in 2008and it worked I will have to look at my IIS installation I think that is where my problem is!
Now for my next question - if you can help I want to customize the look and feel but I have no idea where to start! I also want to add a slide show or maybe (but I know that most people advice against it) add some flash?
