I'm presently reading though Chapter 3, and there is numerous use of a Customers table especially in relation to the ObjectDataSource Control. The aspnetdb database that came with the code download (I renamed it to TheBeerHousedb) does not even have a customers table. Can someone explain this to me?

That part of the discusssion is a description of the functionality provided by the (new in 2.0) data-bound controls. Since the actual BeerHouse database hasn't yet been presented up to this point, the author is describing things in more "general" terms here.
