Thanks for the quick reply,

Sad to know publisher isn't picking up the great book.

Any way it is indeed a great book I on a great framework. I am enhancing this framework now with new features i.e. configurable themes, security, enhanced dashboard, custom UI controls, mandatory fields and error messing framework, caching, service layer, entity framework and possibly much more. I thought if there is any possibility to get some new stuff from new edition to avoid reinventing the wheel.

Any way thanks for your first edition it is gave me a solid foundation for this productive framework.

I wish it made sense for us to publish a new edition. As great as this book is, it just didn't sell as well as we'd hoped. I appreciate all the positive feedback on the book and of course Vince is a top notch expert, we're glad to see he's able to share his expertise in other formats.

Realistically, I have to publish books that don't lose money. Editors cost money. Printing and layout cost money. These things do add up. We even paid Vince a little. ;)

I agree with your analysis but it is not a book it is a “piece of art” and I think you may consider this. It is matter of quality not quantity.

Thank you for your time Jim.

I can see some Wrox books are available only in electronic version. Is this because publishing an ebook cost less than publishing a hard copy? If yes, is there any chance to consider publishing it in soft copy only? Or still there will be more expanses then your predicted profit?
Not sure why this book did not sell enough but second edition is usually be more attractive of any book then the first edition just because it is an improved version.
