Jim,
Please see the ad. on the last page of this book. iT says
Beginning ASP.NET 2.0
0-7645-8850-8
For programmers getting started with ASP, Beginning ASP.NET2.0
provides examples in both Visual Basic and C# to accommodate readers
who prefer either language.

I really needed C# version.

Ouch. I'd overlooked the fact that the incorrect dual language text was in those ads. I'd gotten it corrected on Amazon, our site, and elsewhere, but not there. I'll get it corrected.

Jim,

Unfortunately, myself and apparently many others purchased the book on Amazon based on the misleading text. Amazon's policy is to deduct shipping costs for returns.

The right thing for Wrox to do is contact Amazon and pay for any returns of this book for this reason. You have an obligation to accurately advertise your products especially when the failure to do so costs your customers money.

Sincerely,
V.P.

I too had purchased this book because of the dual code vb.net and C#.
Since the Professional ASP.net 2.0 book has both vb.net and C# code, and other Wrox books have dual code. Sometimes not in the book, but for download, would it be possible to have the C# version of the code created for download? If the code is limited to only vb.net, then the sales of this would be limited and people would buy the Beg Apress book. But, if the C# code was available, then there could be greater sales and more money for the publisher and the authors.

Just a thought.

Larry

I think that's a good thought Larry, and I can confirm we are working on C# version of the book and there will definitely be C# code on the web site to download in the future (as soon as we've finished it). I'd love to give you an exact date, but I can only do my section of the book, and it depends on a lot of other things, but it won't be too long.

Chris

Chris beat me to the punch with the C# announcement. We are going to have a C# version of the book, it should be available in May. However, the code will be available much sooner than that. And, as we make all of our Wrox.com book code available for anyone to download, all the C# code will be available for anyone who's bought the current book with the C# code too.

Thanks for all of you who requested the C# code and showed that there was such a need for this that we should do it. Please continue to ask questions if you have them.

I keep getting stuck at 10% downloaded. Please advise. Can someone just send me the zip file? I'm tired of chasing a wild goose. I've been directed to 3 different sites, and now I'm just plain tired of looking. Please, please someone just send me the zip file.

Thanks!
