I am new to web design and programming. I have been asked by a client to build a website for a chamber of commerce - so I am learning very much 'on project' and have been using the chapters in the book as I progress to help me with the various elements.

I have reached the point where i want to enable the editing/creation of events for the Chamber.

I have followed the 'Using gridviewsand SQLControls' section in Chapter 12 but when I drag my Events table to the page I do not see the 'Enable Editing' and 'Enable Deleting' check boxes in the Gridview tasks as shown in fig 12-4

I don't think this is a permissions issue on the database as I can edit/create data in the tables via SQL Server management Studio and the data Explorer in VWD (but not design via data Explorer - I think because it is at a remote site I get "'This feature is not Supported by VWD Express" if I try ).

Any help gladly received.
