Default can I use visual studio 2010 with Beginning asp.net 4.5.1 in C# and vb

I have read a lot of good reviews on this book but I only have visual Studio 2010 Premium, will that still work with this book?

Thanks for the help.
Mike

Hi there,

Nope, that won't work. You'll need Visual Studio 2013. However, you can download the free Express edition which can be installed and run side by side with 2010.

Cheers,

Imar

Thanks for the reply, what about the community edition of 2013, still a little fuzzy on the differences between that and regular version.

Yep, that would also work. It's essentially the Pro edition (and thus a "higher" SKU than Express) but free if you qualify for it.
