I have VS 2013 - 2012 on my computer but I was install sql server 2008 when I worked on beginning asp.net 4 in C# and VB
So can I work on VS 2013 or 2012 with Sql server 2008
You definitely need VS 2013 as a lot of stuff has changed from 2012 to 2103.
For SQL Server, it depends. Some stuff has changed but if you're willing to spend some time figuring out where a certain feature is you should be able to use anything from 2008 and upwards.
