Default CSS VS Master Pages

I am a new programmer, so I am sorry if this seems like a strange question.

I have read chapter 3 on CSS, It seems that the things you can do in CSS can also be done in the master page?

I really like the master page concept, for styling do I have to know CSS to make web pages with VS?

Thank You,

Jason

Hi there,

Yes, you'll need CSS as that's the language used in the browser to style your elements. A Master Page is just a convenient way to structure your site's presentation elements, but doesn't contain any styling information itself. The browser has no knowledge of the master page at all.

Hope this helps,

Imar
