Default how to add css to master pages?

hi...friends!
m doing a web app in asp.net 2.0 .m playing a role of web designer.
m uding master page concept to put a genuine look n feel to my pages.
i cant get how do i add an css to my master pages?
can ny1 share adding css(internal /external )to master page?
