Default ASP .Net Beginner

I recently acquired "beginning ASP.NET 5.5.1 in C# and VB. However this version of >Net is unavailable from Microsoft and I had to install the >Net 2017 Community Express version. I am trying to do the very first assignment which is to build a new web site. The book says go - File/New Web Site , but the 2017 menu has no such option insteaad it has - File/New/Project. Anyone familiar with 2017 Community
