Default F5 and running the code

Hi Imar,

This hasn't been a problem, but it's been with me since the beginning of the book and I'd like to find out if I'm missing something.

Often the Try it Outs say to 'Press F5', or 'Ctrl+F5'. When I do that, VS always run the file designated as the 'start page', not the particular file that the Try it Out is addressing.

Where you intending that we reset the start page at the beginning of the exercises each time? Or is there some setting that allows F5/Ctrl+F5 to work on the file highlighted in the Solution Explorer?

Thanks.

Best Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,

If I recall correctly, the book only explains you can set the start page, but never has a step to actually do it, and thus the assumed behavior is to open the file you're working on.

You find more information on page 54 (before Figure 2-14) on how to set and reset the start page.

Cheers,

Imar
