Default Nested Try blocks

Can you nest try blocks within other try blocks and then have catch blocks nested withing those different nested try blocks? Also on debuging I noticed that the page will sometimes go to the basepage.cs into the pre-render part of the webfolder. Why is this going on here?

Hi there,

I asked it before but maybe you haven't seen my replies: can you please ask questions not directly related to my book in another appropriate forum category? Questions on try/catch blocks are much better off in one of the language forums such as these ones:

http://p2p.wrox.com/c-4-0-aka-c-2010...iscussion-564/
http://p2p.wrox.com/visual-basic-201...iscussion-580/

This way, you'll get more viewers, better answers and we keep the book's forum more approachable for readers.

Also, please post a different thread for a different topic. I don't see how PreRender and general try/catch blocks are related.

Imar

Default In your book.

In chapter 18 of your book you go into a fair amount of detail on try and catch blocks. With that being the case, I thought that that the kind of a question that I asked wasn't too much out the scope of this thread regarding your book. Please be so kind as to pardon me, if I did not follow proper protocol. I was just curious and trying to ask a question.

That's great, and exactly what these forums are for.

If you post something that is related to the book, then please refer to a chapter and page number. This makes it clearer what your question is about.

I am not just trying to make this hard for you just for the fun. The reason behind my suggestions is to make this forum category as targeted as possible. Future readers of my book who visit this forum will have an easier time finding relavant information if all questions deal with the book. Other forums can then be used for other type of questions.

Default Chapter18 of your book.

In chapter 18 or your book you did go into a fair amount of detail about try and catch blocks, With that being the case, I thought that my question was relevant to this forum. I guess I am not familiar enough with things in this forum to know which questions are relevant and which ones are not.

Had you added that on your first post, it would have been clear it *was* on-topic.....
