Default Prob w. Step 10, P95: CSS Prop Grid

Hi all,
In Chapt 3, Pg 95, Step 10, text says to "open the CSS Property Grid by choosing View->CSS Properties." I have <p.Introduction> selected as text says (actually text says "<p> element" but I think this is indicated in Design view as <p.Introduction>". So when I open View from Task bar, "CSS Properties" option is not present (First item in dropdown is "Rulers and Grid", last item is "Refresh"). Is the text on P95 correct? Can anyone help me correct what I'm doing wrong and/or correctly explain how to access this CSS Properties Grid (which is shown at the top of p96). Tnx...

Hi there,

Are you still in Design View? If not, switch to Design View first and select the <p> element. If you are already in Design View, try switching to Markup View and then switch to Design View.

The text in the book is correct, in Figure 3-19 on page 95 you can see that p.Introduction is selected.

Cheers,

Imar

Default Still don't see CSS Prop Grid

Hi Imar, Tnx for quick response. In 3-19 I see <p> only, not <p.Introduction>. However, I do have this section highlighted in Design view (shows <p.Introduction> above selected text.) But I do not see any View menu except in top taskbar and that dropdown does not contact CSS Propteries option. My new style window matches fig 3-20. Up to step 9, everything follows the book exactly (including the change of font to Italic) but I don't see the View dropdown that contains the CSS Prop G option...

Figure 3-19 does show the Introduction class. Look in the Applied Styles section, the fourth and fifth row list <p.Introduction>

Also, when I select the Paragraph, I do have the CSS Properties under View:

Have you selected Tools | Settings | Expert Settings as explained at Chapter 1 and at the beginning of this chapter again? See step 1 on page 90)

Hope this helps,

Imar

Default Solved...

Tnx Imar,
Problem was simple issue... View did not show CSS Properties until "Other Windows" was opened. From there, CSS Properties was accessible. The .png you included in reply was very helpful...
Regards,
Jim

I am not sure I understand what you mean, but I am glad the issue was resolved ;-)
