Default New Application is missing critical files (download code mysteriously has them)

Hi all,

Been working through this text book and have been following its instructions line by line. Yet when I try to create a web form with master page, my solution has no site.Master file to select.

Having never seen this file I downloaded Chapter 2's code (Where you first create the application). Imagine my absolute joy, when I discover the solution to be full of files that were not created for me on my computer.

The Books extra files (apparently I can't post images here...):

Can someone please explain this to me and how to fix it? I will admit that I already had Visual Studio installed, but I only installed it mid-late January so it should be the latest and greatest.

Is there a setting I have to change? According to the text book, creating the app should be simple. New Project: C#->Web->ASP.NET Web Application: MVC Template (and check web forms under the "Add folders and core references for" section)

If anyone has any idea, please let me know. This has completely stalled my advancement through the book and I am on a bit of time crunch at the moment.

Default Error in Setup

Looks like there was an editing problem that I didn't catch. The initial project setup should have been for Web Forms, ensuring that MVC is selected in the checklist - this version of the book has that switched. I am submitting it to errata. You should be able to create a new project using Web Forms and then copy the Chapter 5 files over and be back up and running.

My apologies for the confusion!
