Hello Imar,
Im having a problem getting the second ASP page we build to work ( requestForm.htm, register.asp) After i submit the form, i get a 404 page from register.asp. I got the first asp page to work (my_first.asp) perfectly.
I tried to run the wrox rrequestForm.asp i downloaded from wrox, but recieved this error:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: file:///e:/8201_BegDWMX/8201_BegDWMX/Chapter07/TheCookingPlace/register.asp?cust_name=myname&cust_interest=Techni ques&cust_contact_type=email&cust_comments=mycomme nts&cust_email=email%40email.com
Line Number 55, Column 8: <% Dim strName, strInterest, strContact, strComments, strEmail
-------^
do you know what i could be doing wrong ?
Thanks,
Neal

Can you post the offending pages here??
Is it possible that your web server is not set up correctly, and your browser now tries to parse the ASP file??
Can you browse to other ASP pages?

Imar,
I tried restarting the W3 service, you were right, something with my webserver. Works like a charm now. Sorry to bother you, by the way your book is outstanding so far. Everything ive learned so far, i have put right to real world use, and i have had no previous web experience. I owe you a drink !
Thanks!
Neal

Glad it's all working now; have fun with the rest of the book.

While typing this post, I was listening to: You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire by Queens of the Stone Age (Track 2 from the album: Songs For The Deaf) What's This?
