MX 2004 Page 103 Notes flag not visible in remote
Hi
Opening the expand/collapse button in Files gives me 3-38. Initially I could not see the note in either side. I opened site/managed sites/edit/selected file view columns highlighted Notes and ticked show. Now the notes are visible in Local Files half but not remote as shown in fig 3-38.
Hope you can help thanks in advance

Did you upload the files with the notes to the remote server?

If you used Put then the file is indeed copied from local to the remote site. And if you enabled the Notes column, then the file should appear in the Remote View on the expanded Files panel.
What kind of remote host do you use? I just did a quick test with both a LAN remote host, and an FTP host, and in both cases I see the Notes icon. Try clicking the Refresh icon....

Hi Imar
I think the issue is that for some reason which I can not identify, I simply canât make it appear. Is there another setting where the columns in the remote side are set. I have assumed that the site/managed sites/edit/selected file view columns would sort out both sides

Yes, that should do the trick.
Do you see the column Notes in the File panel at all, and you just don't see an icon, or is there no Notes column at all? Maybe the column has been resized to a 0 width so it's not visible anymore. Try dragging the line between the columns like Remote Site and Size and see if the Notes column is just hidden.
Cheers,
Imar

Hi Imar
Great the size was so small that it could not be seen. Also when I first got it open I could not see the note so I did put again. Alls well now.
Thanks for your help.
By the way what are you working for on such a fabulous day?

Haha, yeah. Doesn't that apply to you as well? ;)
I am trying to meet a dead-line and somehow dead-lines don't seem to auto-adjust to beautiful days.....
