Default page 9. terminal - no directory

i'm not having any luck with (1s). i type (1s) i get command not found.

Last login: Sun Jan 7 19:35:21 on console
Welcome to Darwin!
Mini:~ scottfinchum$ 1s
-bash: 1s: command not found

no directory - no nothing.

what's up?????

Try ls, not 1s
... as in "list" not "one" - to list the contents of a directory.
