What I hoped I could do did work out. I was getting an error when I tried to load the records on p97. The code was okay. Something was garfed up.

With phpMyAdmin, I just dropped the tables from 'Wiley' and ran the code again. The database tables were recreated successfully. Then I ran moviedata.php from p97 and it loaded the records successfully.

I have no idea why the db was hung. But running the code over and over again didn't work. It seemed it must be something local to my application because I didn't see the error anywhere else within the forum. Dropping the tables and then running the code fixed it. Who knows.

Now I can go on to p101 re Querying. I'm not stuck anymore.

Good luck on the ecommerce stuff. That is high-octane material.

I think you're idea of posting errata is a good one. For those of us behind you, it could save lots of angst. There's enough of that without the gotchas.
