WROX and the authors evidently decided they could write a book but not provide example files like "people.php" which IS require in the code for chapter 6. That, and as seen on this site, a ungodly amount of errors and missing code makes this book a rip off. You can learn a few things from it but without the code it reduces the value significantly.

One way to show your anger is to stop purchasing books by the authors and perhaps WROX.

on page 191 it says "Create the edit/delete code for the people table. Use the movie code as an example." the purpose of the book is to learn, you need to use what you've learned and make that file. also on page 671 it shows you the changes you need to make to the commit.php file to get it to work.

the problem I have found is that I had to also make the people.php file, but I cannot figure out how to update the table for people_isactor, people_isdirector. also with the edit code for movies it deleted entries in the people table for those values???
