Whenever i run the navigator script file, at the top i get this:

Notice: Undefined variable: action in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\testing\CMS\navigator.php on line 102

And when i try to view a file i get:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\testing\CMS\navigator.php on line 36

can anyone help me?

ok, the fatal error can be overcome by conforming to PHP5 standards when using explode():

 $temp = explode(".", $_GET['filename']);
   $extension = array_pop($temp);
