I have dowloaded code of book beginning PHP5, APACHE, MYSQL progrmmaing, and started to run the code of chapter 14 (mailing lists)and file class.simplemail.php, but it generats an error
"Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_OLD_FUNCTION' or `T_FUNCTION' or `T_VAR' or `'}'' in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\test\class.SimpleMail.php on line 4"

I tried to figure out but no solution. I am using Easyphp (mysql,php,apache etc)software package for the web application

can you suggest me the solution. I have tried this code in 2 computers, but fails.
