Default Internet Information Server

Is there a standalone implementation of this? Especially something for XP...

IIS can be installed via the Add/Remove Windows Components button in the Add or Remove Programs dialog in the Control Panel. Note: IIS is not avialable for XP Home Edition.

Did IIS get installed properly? What kinds of problems are you having?

Thearon:

As usual, consider yourself extolled. When I installed IIS, I was having trouble with the configuration. In a nutshell (I spend a good deal of time "in a nutshell" heh heh), I was inexperienced with configuring IIS. A few Google searches later...all done. I've since reformatted my HD (different issue), so I'll have to set up IIS yet again. If you'd like the specifics of doing that for the purpose of helping this board let me know. While I have your attention, will I have to do something special to set up SQL Server?

TIA,

data_art

If you have SQL Server (licensed copy or demo copy), you can just take the default installation options and you'll be fine.
