Default Converting V.B.6 Code to V.B. 2005 Code ? Help !

I looked up in my 'help' menu, how to convert V.B.6 applications to V.B. 2005 automatically. Despite using the example provided in my 'Express Edition', i.e. Drawing.vbp & using the conversion wizard, it was unable to compile/assemble, and even threw up a number of errors, suggesting it didn't recognise certain methods & properties, e.g. PictureBox.Cls ( I thought this would be the very thing the conversion would be able to 'translate' into V.B.2005) This, it would appear, caused it not to produce the relevant .exe file. I did follow the instructions to the letter. if anyone has any suggestions without further details, I'd be most grateful. (I can of course, cite error messages etc. verbatim if necessary). Thanks Liam..... I've noted 14 visits to this topic and no replies, can I assume from this no one has any ideas. I used the example for the sake of practice, but have several projects in waiting for conversion, I really would appreciate some help on this.

My experience with teh conversion is that you will have to go through I have not done a straight conversion from 6 to 2005, but have heard that you will have to go through and fix some of the code before it will compile in many cases. It sounds like it probably converted most or maybe just part of the code and you will need to clean up the parts it did not convert correctly.

Thanks for the response, but I think you've missed the point. In the help menu of V.B.2005 Express Edition, it lists instruction by instruction, the code to enter as a new program. This then runs under V.B.6 perfectly well, it then says to use the conversion wizard on it, which I did. Presumably this is a tried and tested exercise provided by Microsoft specifically for this experiment, and as such should work i.e. convert into V.B.2005 for the sake of comparison. liamfitz.
