I am confused about what it wants me to figure out.

It states in the exercise that the two results are the same in both.

But thats not correct when I test it out. But still there is no question being asked. Also the answer in the back of the book is misleading since thats also incorrect.

Very confusing since the exercise doesn't even ask me anything to figure out.

Can somebody explain what the question really meant?
