Chapter 23 Examples
The first example, Creating the Weblog Page, works fine. Starting with the second example, Adding a Copyright Element, things do not look as they should. Instead of the display showing "Copyright @ Disraeli 2002-2003" it shows "(copyright)". Page_Load seems not to be triggered and therefore the value stored in Text is not being wrapped by <span> tags. Any idea what is wrong?

I'm getting the same problem. I've tried repairing my installation and i've installed all the requisite server components as far as i am aware.

Found a solution here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;318465
This seems to work, but then i get an error that access to the entry.xml file is denied. I've seen this problem in another topic, so i'll go look there first.

Please pardon my late reply, it has taken me this long to get to Chapter 23. The "Entries" folder must have write permission set for ASPNET on Windows XP, or NETWORK SYSTEM for Windows 2003. It's not set in IIS or ASP.NET. Use Windows Explorer to set the permissions.
