Angry Videos are unwatchable

Hello. I just received the excel VBA book 2nd edition. I tried to watch the first video, when watching, the picture sometime is very good, but starts to go out of focus. It's not my computer, I'm 100% sure, I watch a lot of training videos, and this is the worst.

Hi Mike, thank you for buying my book.

I just went to the link where the videos can be viewed, and you are absolutely right -- all the videos eventually get severely out of focus for me, too, which I was unaware of.

I'll contact the publisher immediately about this problem and post a reply as soon as I hear back from them with an answer on when this will be fixed. As you said, it is not your computer, and it's not mine either from which I produced the videos. Something is up with the way the videos are viewed from that interface.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm on it. Being a Friday night when I am posting this reply, it may be early next week when this gets addressed.

Tom

We've been checking this out with the video host and have a couple of questions.
Does the the video start out of focus and get in focus the more you watch and if so, how long to come in focus? A few seconds or minutes?
If you skip around in the video is the problem worse?
Can you look at the chapter 2 video which we've re-uploaded and see if it's better?

We're working to correct this but have been somewhat stumped. We can only intermittently recreate the problem and since we've used the same system for more than a dozen sets of book videos without reported problems, we're looking for differences that would have led to this.

Thanks for any help in troubleshooting this with us and our apologies for this inconvenience.

Default Videos are unwatchable

Hello Jim, the video does start in focus, and still gets worse, nothing has changed. This happens whether the video screen is maximized or not. The sound is not that great either. I wish that wrox had a DVD for this book, that's why i purchased it. Please help.

Mike: We've reposted all the videos and the author has rewatched them all from start to finish. Our tests and his confirm that they are now very watchable and of the quality we expect. If you still have problems, please let us know. We haven't updated the "tips" text on the video page but assuming there are no continuing problems, we'll update that too.
