Default VS 2012 Express for Desktop?

Will VS 2012 Express for Desktop be sufficient to use with this book?

I'm asking only because I see screenshots of the Professional edition in the book sample and wonder if the book uses anything specific to that version or not.

Default Found Answer

I contacted Marc Gregoire, the Technical Editor of the book and this is the answer I received:

"Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop on any version of Windows is not sufficient for this book because it does not support MFC and the book is all about MFC, except for Chapter 18.

You can always download a trial version of Visual Studio Professional 2012 which will work for 90 days from:
http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudi...-2012-editions "

Hope this helps anyone else with the same question.

Smile Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop

I am using Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop for the initial chapters until I reach the MFC chapters. I am currently on chapter 6.
