Where did CLI/CLR programming go

I did read Visual C++ 2010. It had a lot of info about CLI/CLR programming.
If it is deleted just because it is to complex to teach in just one book then where should I get the knowledge? Or did MS abandon the concept? If the concept is still the way to go then please let me know the roadmap after reading Visual C++ 2013.
