Default Personal Calendar App

I am looking to purchase this book for a couple of its apps. One in particular is the calendar app. I know the book says it is a private calendar, but is it possible to have the calendar display on a public page (just a regular website page for all to view and/or print) with a admin link somewhere that links to the admin section of the calendar (all the updating, deleting, etc..)? If so, can you tell me how or is that out of the scope of the book or your support? It seems like it should be rather easily doable, but since I don't yet have the book I'm not sure. I'm not an experienced programmer by any means, but I do understand some PHP (and continually learning).

Thanks for any help you can give.
