running example code from Ch 3 - Form Validation

I must be mildy retarded. I downloaded the source code (including the correct version of zxml.js) and tried to run Chapter 3 - FormValidationExample.htm and got the following error "An Error Occured while trying to contact the server". (in FireFox but that shouldn't matter because I got the same in IE).

What the? Was I supposed to do something else to it?
