Chapter3/Layered-project: The BootStrapper-class in the WebUI-Layer implements Structure Map. However, in the most recent ObjectFactory is obsolete.

Question: Being fairly new to C# in general, how do I implement Structure Map version v4.0.30319 as part of this Exercise?

One option is to install an older version of the StructureMap to the web project using NuGet package manager.

If you really need to use the latest version of StructureMap please reply and I will investigate into one of my [mvc] projects where StructureMap was used to provide some information on the updated configuration/usage w/o ObjectFactory.

That's exactly what I figured out, finally. I have decided to use Visual Studio 2010 and the ASP.NET Framework 3.5/4.0 to work through the book's exercises because it's published some years ago in 2010. Until now, using older versions of third party frameworks together with the exercises/examples seems to work fine!

Good. I believe all the examples will work without any problem.

FWIW, currently, I am in the process of implementing the book's case study using Visual Studio 2015 and .NET 4.5.2. Using older versions of the StructureMap and NHibernate NuGet packages works in this case, too. My priority is to make the MVC project fully functional and when it's done I may update to the latest versions and make all necessary changes. Finally, if everything works as it should I intend to upload all code to GitHub.

That should be a great help for other readers, updating the exercises to a higher Framework version and make them available. Anyway, the book is about Patterns, whatever Framework it takes to get the examples working.
