I went through the free pdf walkthrough (MVC 1 version of this book) which is good but quite basic compared to the full complete downloadable version (with RSS, OData, iCal links etc...)

Does the rest of the book cover the implementation of the features in the downloadable complete bells & whistles version, or just cover general theory?

The first chapter runs you screaming through a simple app. The rest of the book gets down to the details. I've been referring to the detail chapters as I come upon concepts in the first chapter.
