Default Appendix - MVC 5.1

Hi Jon,

This is probably a simple question, but...

Other than knowing MVC 5.1 is included in VS2013 update 3, how does one check to see what MVC version is in the VS being used?

There are later releases as well, yes? Like MVC 5.2. Obviously if you download it from NuGet, then you have it. But where in VS do we check if we really want to confirm what's in the system we're using?

I think the simplest way to check the MVC version is to look in packages.config. You'll see a line like this:

<package id="Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc" version="5.2.0" targetFramework="net45" />
