Default WinServices Installer

Using the downloaded code as well as my own code written from the example I get an error when I use installutil.exe to try to install the service. After the "Set Service Login" dialog is displayed I enter the user name and password and click OK. I then get an error in the command window "An exception occurred during the Install phase. System.InvalidOperationException: User has canceled installation of services in
executable c:\dev\wrox downloaded code\pro c# 2\winservices\quoteservice\obj\debug\quoteservice. exe." The username can be used as the login for other services accessed through the services MMC.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have some problems with this example also. Plz check my topic "Issues about PerformanceCount er(Chapter 22)".
Referring ur issue, try one of two ways:
1) using [MachineName]\[ur login name] if ur count is the administrator, and run this installation on local machine;
2) set ServiceProcessInstaller.Account as LocalSystem;
I hope one of them can work, but u may still occur the problem which I mentioned in my topic. Good luck!
