Default Chapter 3 - Setting up a new site

I'm falling at the first hurdle here

"1. Navigate to the Central Administration page"

can't find my way there in either WSS3 or MOSS2007, I've followed every link there is. Can someone please give me a clue where to look?

about 10 seconds after posting this i thought of looking in IIS manager to see if it was a whole seperate site and it is, so I've found it, but is it meant ot be this awkward to get there?
