Default Has anyone successfully used Strophe.Status.DISCONNECTING object?

I'm trying to use the Strophe.Status.DISCONNECTING object to notify other users in a multiplayer game when someone unexpectedly goes offline. It doesn't work though. So far I've used all the other status objects(CONNECTION, AUTHIENTICATING, AUTHFAIL etc) successfully. Anyone facing the same problem?

Code:

    			var conn = new Strophe.Connection(

                        "http://bosh.metajack.im:5280/xmpp-httpbind");

    			conn.connect(data.jid, data.password, function (status) {

        			if (status === Strophe.Status.DISCONNECTING {

                                          //Do something

                                }

                          });
