Hi,

I'm doing a ruby on rails install on a ubuntu 12.04 system following pages 20-21 GNU/Linux section. All good 'til I got to "-add Gem's bin folder to your path."

The folder /var/lib/gems/1.8/bin doesn't exist on my machine. Is this a 12.04 thing or else where does the bin folder exist in ubuntu 12.04?

Hoping someone knows this without having to research it myself as I'd like to get into running the example program. It looks exciting.
