I would like to create my own skin but Im too dumb to understand. Where should I start. I consider myself as mediocre in Fireworks and Flash. Can anyone out there help please.

I don't believe you're too dumb to understand how to create skins. I do believe, however, that even after several recommendations, you're too dumb to *search* for it. Being able to use a search engine, the ability to skim through articles and to find the stuff you need is, IMO, a critical asset for every developer.

Did you try Google? I entered a few search terms an got loads of articles to get me started.

Since you didn't care to mention for what environment you want to create skins (C# is used in Desktop apps, Win apps, controls for desktop and web applications and so on and so on) it's hard to recommend anything useful, but may I suggest you try something like this:

Depending on what it is you want, add a few keywords to the mix.

i used searched engine but i doen't found articles for learning how to create skins for .net
i want to create my own skins for my application form winapp
i want to know what technology are used in some software such as skincrafter or even irisskin and etc..

and I have another question
what is the difeerence between the desttop application and winapp and controls for desktop ?
