Hi!!!

I'm developing a service(for my university) that will receive any file type and convert it to pdf file. So, I need to know type of file input to invoke appropriate application and can call Print operation on it.

Can I reuse the recognize file type ability of Windows? and How can I intergrate it into my program (which COM components shoud I use???)

First, your talking about c#- you shouldn't use COM.
Second, programs like this already exist- I'd buy it rather than build in this case.
