Default Deploying C#

I am in the middle of trying to deploy a project using C#. I am stuck adding files to eh Installer package. The book I am using says to select Project | Add | Project Output from the menu. When the "Add Project Output Group" dialog box comes up, it is empty thus not allowing me to select my project.

can anyone help?

Thanks in advance...

Hi Nick

This problem occurs when you make your setup
project as a new project File|New|Project,
with no project speicified as the project to
create setup for.

Usually "Setup and Deployment Projects" are created
by 'Adding' them as new projects to the project the
setup is being build for.

When you 'Add' the "Setup and Depl..." project as
a new project using File|Add Project|New Project
the setup project takes the project it
has been added to as the project it is to
create a setup for.

I happened to have seen your query you sent to
our tech support as well.
In case of SimpleEditor Project (download the
code for this chapter if your dont have it) create
the setup project by Adding a new project to
this project and the setup project will show
the properties in the way as has been described
in the book.

Do write back if there is anything else you wanna ask.

Thanks for the reply Ankur, you are exactly right. I completed a bit more of the process today thanks to your help. I just started working with C# and the .Net Framework on Monday, so this is all new to me and I'm in charge of deploying a pretty big project.

Thanks again,
