C# and remote mysql

can anybody guide me to some reference on building C# applications for distributed database in mysql.
I can build C# apps for local machine, but dont know how to access mysql from terminals. I need to build this for a computer lab with 40 terminals and a main server. Any reference to a step by step book will do, I will buy happily
