Default Best way to secure a members section

Hi Everyone,

Im looking for some advise / opinion on the best way to secure a members section with asp. I currently just use session variables and then create an include on each secure page to validate they have logged in. Is this how most people do it?

Your advise and alternatives would be apreciated.

thanks

Tim

I have seen this method used more than any other, I think. I have heard of some security problems with it, but I don't know about those if you're using https. Perhaps someone else will have some input.

HTH,

An alternative would be to use ASP.NET. It makes handling member logins easy.
