Default Presentation Database

Greetings,

I have embarked upon a new project wherein I will have an Access database and powerpoint presentations online. I want to use ASP to build some interaction with the end user where they can input/update data into the database, upload/download Powerpoint files and search for files. I am new to ASP...just know enough to be dangerous. I have experience in javascript and figure I will use that language. Can anyone point this newbie in the right direction for this project...any tips, tutorials, thoughts, etc.?

Usually a simple Google search turns over enough tutorials to satisfy about anyone, unless you prefer books.

http://google.com/search?q=asp+tutorial+access (or instead of Access, PowerPoint, forcing downloads, etc.)

I learned how to access Access with just a few simple tutorials found with Google.

HTH,

Snib

Hi Clay,

Well if you know JAVASCRIPT , what i would suggest is just get on with things ...
lookout for your javascript documentation itself rather than something on ASP ... try to find out about database connectivity with JAVASCRIPT i think which roots in JDBC ...

as for as the UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD ..look out for things on FTP-file transfer protocol ... design your application and begin to code ...

if you fall into trouble during that then people are always available here for help ...

best of luck ...

Sudhan.
