Default Error handlning in ASP

hi everyone, i have a problem while performing error handling in ASP.

Actually my program needs to capture all the errors that occur in a page and redirect to some other page along with error number and error description. But the error description is filling the whole address bar, so is there any way in which i can pass the error object itself so that i can retrieve the error number and description in the new page.

If u feel this can be done in a diff way then let me know

Please help me with this. i would be grateful to u people if u can figure this one out

Hi there,

You can create a custom error page and configure IIS to show that page whenever an error occurs. Inside that page, you can access the last error and then redirect, or log the error.

Here's a quick example: http://www.aspfaq.com/show.asp?id=2335

However, searching for "custom error page 500 iis" in Google brings up many more useful results.
