Recently my Frontpage started converting my global.asa file to RTF format when I open it. Formerly, Frontpage asked me how I wanted to open the .asa file, and I always chose HTML view. But now it doesn't ask.

The asa file itself is still correctly formatted as a plain text. ASP files open correctly.

I recently installed Outlook 2002 and Active Sync. I re-installed frontpage but the problem is still there. Is there a configuration that associates the file type to open method?

Any advice?

How do you know that the global.asa file is being converted to RTF format?

FrontPage tells me its doing the conversion. It used to let me choose how to open..., HTML, RTF or Text. I always chose HTML.

Well anyway, I uninstalled Outlook 2002, ActiveSync 3.5 and SpyBot and the problem is now corrected. So far, I've re-installed Outlook 2000, everything is still OK.
