Default Setting up MMC console

 Hi..
although PWM and IIS throuhg the MMC perform the same tasks..
you can configure IIS through MMC using a snap-in usually a *.msc file

My problem I do not have any such on my system

I used to had Win98 which I later upgraded to WinMe ( due to a slicker interface , visually pleasing..and there I had a iis.msc which I used to configure my MMC

then due to some problem I had to re-install every thing this time...I simple clean installed WinMe instead of installing win98 and then upgrading to winMe..

Now I cannot find any iis.msc or for that matter any *.msc in the system..

.....I like to use MMC to administer iis ...
so from where could I get the iis.msc if its not in the system..?

Hi,

I am actually confused by your situation as IIS is not supposed to be present on the Windows ME platform. It only comes pre-installed with Windows NT or Windows 2000. However, if you have a copy of PWS you can install it on Windows ME instead.

Cheers!

Yes I have PWS installed not IIS..

earler I had Win98 and on top of it WinMe with IIS 4.0
I had downloaded MMC and i had iis.msc needed to manage the IIS
although I can nearly do the same from within PWM or PWS..

Now when I have clean installed WinMe I miss the iis.msc File needed for IIS any way thanks..
