Hi all,

I have a table in my database that keeps the passwords of my users and I'm looking for a way to encrypt them. There are other users that access the table so i dont wont them to be able to see them. Are there any ready algorithms in VB (VBScript) or should i write one of my own??

i can encrypt the password by passing the sting to the ms5 function as Md5("Test") but how do i decrypt it ??

Alright, I am trying to use the RC4 encryption method stated in happygv's post. I'm triple encrypting the data with 3 different keys/passwords and this seems to work for some data but not for others.
I'm trying to use it to encrypt data that is going into a database and for some reason some of the encrypted values break my insert queries. I thought maybe it was the triple encryption so I switched to a single encryption and it fixed that particular value but the same problem is affecting other values.
So my question is how can I fix this and what is causing it? Illegal characters being created with the encryption? Is the password/key that you specify when performing the encryption limited to certain characters (i.e. is the key I'm using causing the problem)?

These query breaking encrypted values even seem to break my html some how.
