Default Display page while processing

Hi Everyone,

I am sure this is an easy solution, but need your help...

I have several pages that process data and display it on the screen. On good days it is almost instantaneous. On bad days, the screen is left blank for 10 - 15 seconds.

What is the best way to display a message to my visitor that their request is being processed?

Your help is appreciated,

Send a message via ICQ to erobb Send a message via Yahoo to erobb

I would use JavaScript to pop up a new window and let them know the request is being processed then close the window on the other side of the process.

If you open the window on the click then pop up blockers wont stop the new window from opening.
